The most effective way to provide training for a group of staff is to hold it on your premises. The workshop can then be tailored to meet your needs. This enables people working in the same area to develop new ideas and skills together, increasing the likelihood that both practice and morale will improve. Locally-organised workshops also reduce your travel costs and cause minimal disruption for participants.
All arrangements can be made to suit your local needs, so please regard the following as a basis for discussion and negotiation.
CONTENT My key aim is to meet the specific needs of participants and to take into account the population they care for. I would be pleased to hear of any issues that you think should receive particular attention.
COSTS The fee for a maximum of 24 participants is £600 per day. This works out at £25 per participant per day. Course material for each participant is included.
In addition, I charge travel expenses (usually by car as I have a certain amount of equipment to transport) to and from North London. Depending on the distance from London, I would also ask you to arrange and pay direct for a hotel (minimum three star, serving evening meals in-house) for one or two nights, depending on the length of the workshop.
PARTICIPANTS You may like to consider inviting staff from outside your own area and from different disciplines. This would enable to you hold a workshop without taking too many people out of the service at the same time. It also helps to spread the financial load.
TIMING My aim is to fit in with your requirements as far as possible. However weekends are very limited and I tend to get booked up quite far in advance.
ORGANISATION If you decide to hold a workshop in your area, I will ask you to organise advertising and bookings, book a suitable venue, provide a flip chart and paper, teas and coffees etc, organise lunches, and arrange and pay for my meals and hotel if required.
Please call me on 020 8458 1416 if you would like to discuss the possibility of holding a workshop in your area.
